KMC is a bicycle chain maker from Taiwan. Its history page says Kuei-Meng Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1977 in Hsin Hua (Xinhua), Tainan, and started manufacturing bicycle chain there, beginning with a few pieces of used machinery.

The company says it now runs 11 plants and 16 distribution entities across Taiwan, China, the Netherlands, the US, Indonesia and Vietnam, and sells to users in more than 150 countries. Its range covers multi-speed chains from 6 to 13 speed, single-speed and BMX chains, e-bike chains, anti-rust EPT and RB chains, MissingLink connectors, chain tools, cassettes and chainrings.

Its history lists ISO 9002 and CNS 12682 certification for KMC Chain (Taiwan) in 1992 and a technical cooperation with Shimano from 1986. Buyers should confirm which plant a given order ships from, since the group produces in several countries.
