Interior dimensions, door openings and payload limits per ISO 668. These are the exact figures the planner packs against.
| Container | Interior L x W x H | Door W x H | Capacity | Tare | Max payload |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20' Standard | 5.90 x 2.35 x 2.39 m | 2.34 x 2.28 m | 33.2 m3 | 2,280 kg | 28,200 kg |
| 40' Standard | 12.03 x 2.35 x 2.39 m | 2.34 x 2.28 m | 67.7 m3 | 3,800 kg | 26,680 kg |
| 40' High Cube | 12.03 x 2.35 x 2.70 m | 2.34 x 2.59 m | 76.4 m3 | 3,900 kg | 26,580 kg |
| 45' High Cube | 13.56 x 2.35 x 2.70 m | 2.34 x 2.59 m | 86.0 m3 | 4,880 kg | 25,600 kg |
Max gross is 30,480 kg on all four, so payload is gross minus tare. Door height is the spec that catches people out: a 40' High Cube gains 30 cm of interior height but the door only opens to 2.59 m. Individual boxes vary slightly by manufacturer.
| Container | US 48x40 in | EUR 1200x800 mm |
|---|---|---|
| 20' Standard | 9 | 9 |
| 40' Standard | 19 | 20 |
| 40' High Cube | 19 | 20 |
| 45' High Cube | 22 | 22 |
Floor positions in a single layer, computed from the ISO 668 interior dimensions above rather than nominal ones, allowing one orientation change across the floor. Mixed orientations and double stacking fit more, which depends on your cargo height and weight. The planner works out the exact arrangement for your load.
